Robot Drive Simulator

Attached is a robot drive simulator I made, if you wire an X and Y axis joystick input directly to the simulator you can use it as if it were generic arcade drive. If you open the tester VI you can set the motor inputs for the robot which will be much more useful for testing a custom/modified drive system.

Constructive criticism would be appreciated, and i realize this isn't extremely useful yet. I made this to test my auto-orient drive improvements.

Re: Robot Drive Simulator

Just thought i'd post my latest code, its set up to be controlled by a joystick and has a simple version of the auto-orient code. It also has the supplied tank and arcade codes as well.

I'm leaving for the weekend but when I get back I'll clean up my code and make sure its easy to read P:

Re: Robot Drive Simulator

this is really cool. I had a similar idea after I regularly waited for days on end to test my code while mechanical people messed with the bot: what if you could create a simulated crio/digital sidecar and run mock labview programs on them? I think I'm going to make that my next labview summer project, it would be extremely useful.... it would be an incredible amount of work, though!!

Re: Robot Drive Simulator

That would be a cool idea, not quite sure how it would get done though.
