Heading west?

Rumor has it...

a west coast regional within the next two weeks will DRAMATICALLY increase it's team capacity. So, any team really wanting to enter one more regional might want to look West. I also heard that it could be targeted on the last weekend in March.

Maybe it's true... maybe not.

Thats cool andy, our regionals are full and we only have 3 on the west coast. This would greatly improve the game.

The Regional out west in the last week of March is the SJ Regional. As of this moment it appears to be full with 42 teams signed up, but last year there were ~52 teams at the same location (there was literally no more room for additional teams). Is 10 teams a dramatic increase in attendance? Especially for a Regional that has 30 teams on its waiting list?

My guess would be that the most likely candidate out west to increase the most is LA. Andy, you remember how much space there was at the LA Mem. Sports Arena, right? My team was spread across 50' by 50' behind the pits in LA this year, and there was still tons of space to spare back there.

I have absolutely no idea what's going to happen to the Seattle Regional. I just hope it stays before SJ so that my team can get in some practice before our hometown Regional . Thanks for the posting fodder Andy .
