# of Storage Tanks Allowed
I can't find anything in the rules about the maximum number of storage tanks. If I remember correctly there used to be a rule limiting a robot to 4 tanks. Is there any such rule this year?
Thanks in advance. |

Re: # of Storage Tanks Allowed
There are no rules limiting the amount or type of storage tanks allowed this year.

Re: # of Storage Tanks Allowed
There was no limit last year either. Be prepared to show documentation that your components are rated for 125 psi. ( or lower as allowed under R71. D.)

Re: # of Storage Tanks Allowed
The only thing we could figure out that would limit you in the air capacity area would be the compressor. Get as many gallon tanks as you wish, but I doubt you'll be able to provided compressor to fill it up within the 2 minute match

But you could pressurize them before the match.

Re: # of Storage Tanks Allowed
A couple teams last year ran with a large number of lighter, plastic tanks and no compressor at all.

Re: # of Storage Tanks Allowed
217 ran 7 Large plastic air tanks on their bot last year w/o a compressor.
