E09 Flash Drive Error

We were following the start up guide, plugged in the flash drive, turn on the computer and press F11 as it said and we get "Disk Error Occurred " after we select the " Generic Flash Drive"

We need help! Are we doing something wrong?

Re: E09 Flash Drive Error

Sorry for the post being very obscure, we were trying to reimage the E09 classmate like it stated in the 2012 Getting Started Guide. We ran into a problem when we followed the directions on reimaging the classmate. AS stated before, we turned off the classmate, plugged in the power cable, plugged the flash drive in, turned on the computer and press F11. When we were prompted for boot options we selected "Generic Flash Drive", once we pressed this we were prompted with an error "Disk drive error occurred, Press ctrl+alt+delete to restart". We wanted to know why we are getting this error? Can someone help us with this?

Re: E09 Flash Drive Error

At the kickoff there were many teams having the same problem. We tried many different flash drives and for some reason only 1 E09 flash drive worked. A team on the other side of the room was the only person to get it to work. No one figured it out, we borrowed the E09 and it installed. It is just a faulty flash drive. You will need a new one.

Re: E09 Flash Drive Error

I solved the problem, the flash drive we got, labeled "2012 Image, E09", is corrupt so I took another flash drive, formatted as an NTFS format and transferred the files from the corrupt flash drive to the new one I created. Once I did this, following the getting started guide worked. This should help any team with this issue.
