Kinect Light on Driver Station flits between 'No Kinect' and 'Timeout'

We're using a non-Classmate laptop to operate, and our Kinect is having problems communicating with the Driver Station.

When originally plugged in, without the KinectServer running, it remains at 'Not Ready' consistently. When the KinectServer is running, it gives us a 'No Kinect' symbol. When we hit the refresh button, the Diagnostic light goes into 'Timeout' for a second while a window saying "2012 FRC Kinect Server" pops up for a split second, then defaults back to 'No Kinect' while the window closes.

I can confirm that Visual C# Studio Express and the Microsoft Kinect SDK are both installed here, and all the rest of our FRC set up is up-to-date as well.

What could be the problem?

Have you looked at the Troubleshooting section of the Getting Started with Microsoft Kinect for FRC document?

yes, I have. It told me I should try using the Skeletal Viewer that comes default in the code, and see if it functions, and if it does, to reinstall the FRC Kinect Server. I tried that, but the problem still persists.

Did the skeletal view app work?

Re: Kinect Light on Driver Station flits between 'No Kinect' and 'Timeout'

The Depth View, Camera View, and Skeletal View all worked fine.

also, we managed to solve the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling the FRC Kinect Server and the Microsoft Kinect SDK.
