Red face Safety

Hey guys, I am a rookie this year and safety captain of my team. I read in the manual that a materials safety data sheet (MSDS) is needed, but I have no idea where/how to get one. Please help me out, thanks!

Re: Safety

MSDSs are available from the manufacturer. For example, Loctite makes their data sheets available here. WD-40 lists theirs here, and so on.. Just look them up with a google search for each chemical you have with you in your pit

Re: Safety

Let me know if you need any additional help. I find, use and interpret MSDS's on a regular basis as part of my job as an environmental engineer.

Not only do you need the MSDS's of the hazardous materials you take to competition, but you should have one for all the materials you use in your shop during build season. And make sure your team members know where you keep them in case they need to refer to one!

I'm very impressed that you are starting now to understand the FIRST Safety Manual! Good luck this year!
