2011 Dashboard problem?

Hi

When we re-image the classmate and install the updates, we also do the 5GB memory 'increase' as well. We appear to have no problems installing netbeans and the updates there as well. We can download programs to the CRio. We can run the robot, and get all the correct signals from the lower part of the dashboard.

The problem is that when we switch from the developer login to the driver station login, and turn on the Dashboard, we cannot see the entire Dashboard. It says it is the current version, but we cannot see the 'compass'. It is as if it re-images, pictorally, to the old 2010 version before the update that includes the 'compass.' We can see the place where the camera image will be displayed but no compass.

We are definitely using the 2011 thumb drive.

Shouldn't the dashboard default for 2011 include the 'compass?'. If so, any idea what could be wrong?

As an aside we cannot get an image from the camera on the dashboard. It was when we realized we could not get an image that we realized the upper right side of the dashboard appears to look incorrect.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Alex
