IR Sensors Flashing

We got our sensors calibrated earlier today and after we had it off for a while, we turned it on and two of the sensors were flashing both yellow and orange. On the instructions for them it said that is the if the yellow one was flashing it was a DC model and if the orange one was flashing it was an AC model. However there was nothing about both flashing.

We have tried reconnecting the wires and turning it on and off, too. Has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it or be able to lead us in the right direction of where we can find out how to fix this dilemma.

Re: IR Sensors Flashing

Becky,
Short-Circuit Protection is indicated by flashing green and orange LEDs. This means that the output is drawing more than 100ma. I am guessing this is the condition you are seeing. I suspect a short between output and +12volts. I suspect the yellow flashing is also part of this as it tries to turn on and then is inhibited by the short circuit protection.

Re: IR Sensors Flashing

We had the same problem; we had wired the sensor backwards. Check wiring with a multimeter.

Re: IR Sensors Flashing

They go into the digital side car. And it tells how to wire them in this thread, the second page.
