cRIO help

Hi everyone

Our team was imaging our cRIO and following the directions as provided on the manual. But then when we got the cRIO connected, my partner clicked apply before we could follow steps 3-8. It said that it successfully connected.

Now when we try to connect the cRio to the laptop, it says it cannot connect. Do we need to restore our cRio to factory settings or is there some other task we need to do? We are a rookie team, so any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Re: cRIO help

The cRIO Imaging Tool running on your laptop is telling you it cannot connect?

Here are some directions that might help: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...68&postcount=3

Re: cRIO help

The Imaging tool does not recognize the cRio. We tried your instructions, but it still did not recognize it.

The Imaging tool did recognize the cRio, but it couldn't recognize it after we pressed apply too early and imaged it without the options we need.

Do we need to reset the cRio to its factory settings to remove the wrong image?

Re: cRIO help

Well make sure your cRio has power going to it, then make sure that the cRio is tethered to your computer, and the NI imager should see the cRio and you should just be able to reimage it.

Re: cRIO help

well, merci beaucoup monsieur

We have, in fact, been powering the cRio, connecting it to the computer, and running the imaging tool, but our problem persists

Exactly how are you connecting the cRIO with the computer? Which cRIO port are you plugging into? Have you turned off all other networking on the computer?

Re: cRIO help

Hey, we had the same problem.

Do the following:

1) Press the IP-RESET Switch on the cRio.
2) Hold down the Reset Button
3) Let Go
4) Connect a crossover from your computer to the cRio
5) Try the re-imaging the cRio again

You may get Error 7 from your cRio. We did, but it dissappeared once we tried re-imaging again.

Did you by any chance try loading the code before you reset the cRio after re-imaging? I do not know if that would cause the problem, but that's what happened to us.

Hope this works!
