wireless bridge not connecting to router

hey,
For some reason the wirless bridge (the gaming adapter) is not connecting to the router.
I have gone through the start up guide and set all the ips and settings, etc. and the ip address all seems to be correct. However the last step that asks the bridge to be physically disconnected from the router, and test, I fail at. For some reason opening 10.24.67.1 causes a 'problem loading page' in the browser. Any way to fix this problem? thanks.

We have the same problem, is there a way to solve this?

Re: wireless bridge not connecting to router

Can you be more specific about the setup you are trying to use -- use colors or product names to describe the devices.

This year's expected setup is to put the white dlink on the robot, use it in access point mode for practice, use it in bridge mode for competitions.

In practice, you will typically connect to it from the wireless of one or more laptops. There are other configurations that will allow for desktop or non-wifi computers to be used to program or drive. In competition, your laptop will enet plug into the field and use the field wifi.

Re: wireless bridge not connecting to router

We are having an issue to. We are just using the d-link in Access Point mode however the drive station still shows "No Robot Communication" even though it shows the radio and robot under the diagnostics window. Any idea what could be the issue? Thanks

Re: wireless bridge not connecting to router

When you get the robot light green and robot communication red, that indicates that the networking is fine, but the libraries on the cRIO are not responding tot he protocol messages. This would often be a versioning issue. Check or update the cRIO to make sure you have v25 and the correct language. Also check the DIP switches to make sure you haven't turned on safe or no app modes.

Re: wireless bridge not connecting to router

I had this problem last night. To setup the DLINK the instructions told us to set up a WPA Key. This is the problem right here. I went to the router settings and set it WPA encryption and I set the WPA key to the same key on the DLINK. Look at last year's document's on how to configure router settings.

Re: wireless bridge not connecting to router

Yea, I don't like those instructions much.

For at-home AP use you don't need the security settings if you want to simplify things.
We always keep ours off at home.
