Wiring the Gyro and the Accelerometer

I was looking at the documentation for the Gyro and the Accelerometer on the KOP website, and came to the conclusion that I needed to find and EE.

Can anyone help us figure out how to wire these sensors?

Thanks,

Re: Wiring the Gyro and the Accelerometer

Yeah, it's unfortunate that last year's documentation is still completely relevant.

Seriously, the information in that document should really have been updated and put with the rest of the Control System "How to" files. The Kit of Parts web page is a lot better than previous years' resources, but there's plenty of room for improvement still.

Re: Wiring the Gyro and the Accelerometer

Another tip, check out the Labview sample programs. Not only do they show you how to program the device, they graphically show you how to wire the device.

I look at the compressor example everytime I have to wire up pneumatics.

As of January 18, 2011 there is an updated 2011 sensor manual uploaded to the FIRST website.

http://usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/....aspx?id=18530

It is way at the bottom labeled as Sensor Manual.
