Starter Kit of Parts?

According to the FIRST schedule, they would be shipping out the starter kit of parts on Oct 18,2002 to teams that had made their payment for the first competition event.

Has anyone received this kit or know if they are still planning on doing this?

I think an e-mail was sent out to the main contact of each team saying they would be a little late in shipping out the kits. Apparently they had some trouble getting some of the items in time due to the dock strikes. Early November is when it's supposed to be now???

This is only what I have been told by my teacher. Some of it may be incorrect.

"Greetings Teams:

We know you are eagerly awaiting your EDUrobot shipment, but unfortunately due to parts tied up in the west coast dock strike the EDURobot kit shipment has been delayed. The target date for the start of kit shipment is now Nov. 1.

We sincerely believe that the EDURobot and the associated learning modules will provide the necessary tools to assist your team with having a successful FIRST Robotics Competition season and experience. We do ask that after you receive your kit you assist us to make this a successful venture by giving us your feedback via an on-line survey regarding the objectives of the EDURobot and the instructional materials. Your feedback will be critical in helping us determine whether or not this was of benefit to your team, and whether we should continue the program in the future. We will keep you posted on when this survey and other feedback opportunities will be available.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact us at frcteams@usfirst.org or at the number below.

Go Teams!

Cheers,

Deborah L. Rose
