Re: axis 206

We actually just finished the connection troubleshooting on our camera thanks to CD, can you describe the system you're using to connect? Are you using a tether or a router? How is everything else configured to obtain IP addresses? Need a bit more information before I can say anything.

Oh, and of course the camera setup guide is your best resource for EVERYTHING camera related.

Re: axis 206

The "limited connectivity" indication usually just means you don't have a connection to the Internet.

Being unable to connect to the camera usually means your computer's IP address is not set to one compatible with the camera's default. Are you following the How to Configure your Camera document on the Kit of Parts web page?

Re: axis 206

Also, don't forget you need a crossover cable if connecting directly from laptop to camera.

Most laptops will automatically switch their Ethernet port to do a crossover connection when necessary. I've never encounted a laptop capable of running Windows XP or later that doesn't do it. That includes the Classmate.

The two things in the FRC control system that do not do automatic crossover are the cRIO and the Axis camera. Wiring those items together is the only place a crossover cable is necessary.

I own one running XP , but it's pretty old.
Talks to everything I ask it to though, so I keep it around.
