Re: You know you've overdosed on FIRST when...

...when you've been involved in FIRST since 3rd grade (FLL and FRC).

...when you're on the FLL team and the FRC team in the same school year (and yes it is possible, Power Puzzle/Overdrive and Climate Connections/Lunacy)

When you don't post for two days on CD during build season so people text you to make sure you are OK (from multiple states.)

When you look at a number (the time, house number, street numbers, ect.) and the first thing that comes to mind is what that teams robot was like in previous years.

Dating through build season is hard. My boyfriend is on another team, and between school and build on weekends, it's hard to find time to see each other. Sharing ideas is the least of my concerns XD

...even the GDC questions your sanity.

...when you see your mentors more than your parents (AND BOTH OF YOUR PARENTS ARE MENTORS!!!!)

...you are working on robotics stuff during the school day and nobody really cares (thank you Voc schools!)

Re: You know you've overdosed on FIRST when...

-When it's that time of year again where the back 3 pages of every notebook is full of robot design ideas.
-When its finals week and you've spent more time at robotics this week then studying.
-When your glad its finals week because that means its half days, more time for robotics.

My relationship is already long distance and him not being involved with robotics at any level puts a strain during build when I spend long hours in the shop where there is no cell service.

Re: You know you've overdosed on FIRST when...

...when you see your team number (like 8.57) in a physics or chemistry problem and wonder whether the teacher intentionally included it. (The chemistry teacher is a fan and the physics teacher is the school liaison.)

...when everyone on the team is like, "It's 8:57 pm!" Coincidentally, that is about when our meetings end.
