Smile Easily Applicable Graphical Layout Editor (EAGLE)

Does anyone know if there is a Eagle Library with the FRC components parts available?
Thanks

Re: Easily Applicable Graphical Layout Editor (EAGLE)

The FIRST boards (accelerometer, gyro, PD board, etc) aren't available in Eagle formats.

They only have the Altium Designer files (you can download Altium as part of the KOP) and I believe they have gerbers too.

What were you looking to do with them?

Re: Easily Applicable Graphical Layout Editor (EAGLE)

I was going to make a schematic of the layout for the team. Does everyone use Altium Designer? We are a rookie team and aren't familiar with Altium Designer. I'm game though. Thanks for the info.

Re: Easily Applicable Graphical Layout Editor (EAGLE)

Which layout?

If you're trying to layout the entire electronics system, Eagle (or Altium) isn't the right tool for the job. Eagle is used to do schematic capture and design PCBs, such as the gyro breakout board. It won't work to do large-scale layout.

For this, we generally use the same CAD as we use for the rest of the robot (Inventor, for us).
