Minibot Component Modification?

Hello there, I'm from the Greece Gladiators (Team 1591) and i had a question about the minibot components. I was curious to know if the tetrix components used on the minibot can be modified, such as the wheels (not the tred of course). The minibot group and I have been discussing this for some time and although we did make alterations to the wheels we are still unsure if they are legal. If anyone knows about or hears about anything about this, please let me know. Thank you!

The Minibot has to be in regulation of the FTC game rules. You'll be able to find the FTC game manual on the FIRST website.

Are you sure? The FRC game manual never says you have to comply with FTC game rules....

This is incorrect; it has been refuted by the GDC: http://forums.usfirst.org/showpost.p...95&postcount=3

Tetrix parts may be modified: http://forums.usfirst.org/showpost.p...34&postcount=2

Your confusion may come from the encouragement for FTC teams to make a minibot and offer it to FRC teams for use in the FRC game this year.

That's because they deleted and reposted a bunch of responses today that now say "See Team Update #5". Here's the current link: http://forums.usfirst.org/showthread.php?t=16334
