D Link setting for connection?

On the back of the D Link DAP 1522, there are three settings (Auto, AP, and Bridge). Which setting does it have to be on to be able to connect with the drivers station?

Re: D Link setting for connection?

If you follow the updated radio configuration document, the switch will be in the AP position when you're done. That's what it needs to be in order for anything to connect to it.

It will be set to Bridge when you go to a competition event. In that mode, it will connect to the field network.

Re: D Link setting for connection?

On page 6 of the "How_to_Configure_Your_Radio_Rev_A.pdf" it says to "ensure your laptop is set to the proper address (192.168.0.51)".

Okay, so for Windows,
1. Go into the Network Connections control panel.
2. Disable any wireless connections you have open.
3. Enable the Local Area Connection
4. Right click on this connection and select Properties.
5. Select 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' in the scrollable list.
6. Click the Properties button.
7. Make notes on paper (or take a screenprint) of your current IP address settings.
8. Enter the new IP address.
9. Click the OK button.
10. Say No to any warning message about the address already in use.
11. Continue with the instructions.

After you get the wireless bridge configuration to come up in your browser and you save the new settings there go back into the Network Connections and restore your computer's previous IP address settings.

At least this is what I had to do. If anyone can shorten these steps please feel free.
