Fixing 2011 Axis Camera

I configured the 2011 Axis Camera manually and wrote code to test it's vision. When I wired the camera up and turned the circuit on the camera was not getting power. Then when I plugged it into an outlet the camera still did not get any power. Can anyone please suggests any solutions or any explanations on why this happened?

Re: Fixing 2011 Axis Camera

Possibly you reversed the power or connected it to 12v instead of the special 5v output when wiring it to the PD and burned the camera. Double check the barrel connector polarity and 5v with a multi-meter.

Re: Fixing 2011 Axis Camera

This happen to us as well. We spoke to Axis, opened a RMA and sent it back so they could examine the camera. The camera's are still under warranty.

Re: Fixing 2011 Axis Camera

Thank you for the reply. We will check on the camera again and call Axis if needed.
