It's possible to write a LabVIEW program that runs on the PC and reads the joystick. But if all you want to do is make sure a joystick is doing what you want, use the Windows Game Controllers control panel.

Goto start;
settings; control panel; printers and other hardware; game controllers; Add game controller; finally, when you are dun, it will allow you to do testing/calibration like thing and you can test controllers that way. |
