Turbo Miata? 1.6L? Need more details on this guy.

Personally, I drive a 2002 BMW 325Ci on most days, and I Have a 1989 240sx with a 1JZ for the weekends (When It's not in pieces).

1996 Toyota Tercel modified.

54 mpg with EGR and catalytic converter intact!

First participants with cars should really consider ecomodding. It's a lot of fun. It's also one of the few hobbies that pays you to practice it.

Since you asked... hehe...

I picked up early in the fall so I haven't logged too many miles with it, but this is what she's got:

1.6L DOHC B6ZE engine
t3/t4 hybrid turbo, 50-trim wheel as she sits, will probably get a 60-trim wheel when it's rebuilt (not happening during build season )
~24"x6"x2" FMIC
550cc/min RX7 injectors
MegaSquirt ECU with EBC (needs the solenoid replaced, running 7-10psi on mecanical bypass at the moment)
MS also gets the redline up to ~7800RPM
De-powered steering rack
AC deleted
No soft top, hard top though! (hard top is lighter)
Clutch-type LSD from an RX-7
Hard-dog SCCA roll bar
KYB-AGX 8-way adjustable shocks w/ sleeved coilovers, 400lb-in springs in the front, 300lb-in in the rear (STIFF!) riding on NB mounts (more travel)
stiffer, and adjustable, front sway bar, handles very neutrally at the moment
rolling on Kazera KZM spec miata wheels with S.Drive tires on the street, I have a set of Toyo Proxes for the next auto-x season

It needs a little engine tuning a new boost control solenoid to get full potential out of the engine, and a real turbo-back exhaust system so my ears don't bleed. That's my spring project.

I also have a 1.8L engine waiting for a rebuild and a ported head when the 1.6L goes pop

Re: What kind of car do you drive??

I'm old. But my car is older than me. And a lot faster

(yes, I've driven it to a few robotics meetings this year)
