Team 2168--3 minute progress video
The Aluminum Falcons from Groton CT are pleased to announce
"We have arrived." For the past 4 years we have been an "also ran" robotics club, pleased enough to simply be there at a single regional event and not come in last. (Last year, we DID have a sweet hanger, I must say!) This year's Falcon is turbo-charged. Here is a link to the progress of our first 3 weeks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwik1IIQK4o please do enjoy, and look for us at WPI and Hartford. Last edited by Chi Meson : 04-02-2011 at 06:37. |

Nice video!
Is the minibot deployer going on the back end of your robot? The CAD picture didn't show anything, but there seems to be a large space. I hope you guys have some fun at WPI and Hartford. |

How's weather in the Northwest? Here in the Northeast there is a huge concentration of FRC team feeling "left out in the cold." The nation's mid-section got clobbered, but no one is talking about the Northwest. Brian |

Re: Team 2168--3 minute progress video
Told you, it's a secret. They won't even tell me! I know the minibot will be "sideways" when it's deployed, but I don't think the placement on the hostbot is finalized. We just missed two days in a row that were supposed to focus on the minibot.

What method did you use to lift an object with the claw?

Re: Team 2168--3 minute progress video
If the top peg is over 12 feet, we are in deep trouble.

Re: Team 2168--3 minute progress video
Yeah...that's was a little "whoopsie" during my narration. I meant to say "10 feet" and then forgot to go back and redub that bit. Still, it makes it sound so much more exciting, don't you think?

Re: Team 2168--3 minute progress video
With pneumatics, if that's what you're asking. I can't give you the details or my mentors will walk out on me!
