she's got supershifers with long hex shafts driving 6 inch plaction wheels. He so badly wanted to hook up the motors right to a battery and ride it down the hall.

I DID ride our robot down the hall...we have mecanums.
DO NOT PUT MORE WEIGHT ON THE MECANUMS THAN THE MAX ROBOT LIMIT. It bends them. |

I think our robot would have handled the ride just fine, but our popularity within the school suffers when we put holes in the walls.
