Minibot Magnets

My team is looking to purchase magnets for our minibot.

The diameter of the Tetrix kit motors is ~34mm.

We have found two sets of motor magnets with different inner diameters:
28mm: http://www.emovendo.net/magnet/31_94...r-magnets.html
39mm:

Should we go with the smaller set or the larger set, or is there a better-fitting set anyone else could find?

Re: Minibot Magnets

And what are you planning on doing with these magnets? You can't take the Tetrix motors apart.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't see that you were talking about an inner diameter of the magnets. I guess you're planning on putting them around the outside of the motor?

Re: Minibot Magnets

If your just going to stick them on the outside of the motor to (hopefully) benefit from the augmented magnetic field, then it is perfectly legal.

As far as the size, The only way to determine this is through experimentation, see if you go faster with the larger, smaller, or even no magnets (not all changes to the magnetic fields will be beneficial).

Re: Minibot Magnets

Are there any other teams using magnets on their minibots who can link me to a product page for the magnets they bought?
