Cannot find CANTimeout Exception

I've recently been having some trouble with Netbeans. I have been trying to compile this one program with no avail. Each time I get the error

cannot find symbol
symbol: CANTimeoutException
location: package edu.wpi.first.wpilibj.can

I have installed the latest frc plugins and I am running Netbeans 6.91. I have imported the class but all I receive in return is an error.

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Cannot find CANTimeout Exception

Try rebooting the robot. We've also had this problem, and we've found that simply rebooting the robot generally rectifies it, though we've yet to pinpoint any source for this problem,.

Re: Cannot find CANTimeout Exception

Make sure you also have the can class imported. Either of the following will work:
Code:
import  edu.wpi.first.wpilibj.can.CANTimeoutException;
//or
import edu.wpi.first.wpilibj.can.*;
A nifty shortcut is ctrl+shift+i which is fix imports. It is the first thing I try when I see a red line and I know the syntax is right.
