There is one magnet in the middle of the mini bot. It is a 52 lb pull neodymium from applied magnets. I got some smaller 27 lb pull ones too, but I threw the 52 ones into the cad mock up so they got used. One word of caution when using these magnets, BE CAREFUL! they are a pain to get apart with no spacers in and can easily draw blood(i know from experience). You shouldn't need anything stronger then a 52 lb pull magnet. We probably could of gotten away with using the 27 on our mini bot.
