It was a carved pineapple with a rubber band on the end. It ended up being a part of the robot (team 222's) for the metal ruler to work the pineapple blesses us all

more BE news
More news on the BE front-

BE will be covered by Cablevision who will be doing a program on the event and FIRST. There may be other additional TV and news coverage.

Our opening ceremonies have several local officials and one highly recognizable FIRST celebrity attending.

We have 21 teams on the list as of today- 3 slots left.

Now the team number total adds up to 7439. I'll tell you that in addition to 303 and 25, 102 is on the list. The challenge above is still on

After the finals...you guys should set up a vote to pit teams against other teams...like finish any rivalries if they didn't get to play. Have all the teams vote on matches they would like to see.

Also, if I go, I'm getting a freaking Hawiian shirt...even if I have to rip it off one of you
