Where to buy solenoids?

I went to place an order for 4 double and 4 single SMC solenoid valves. Online they were about $40 to 50 / piece via Motion Industries. The clerk at our local distributor said it would take 6-8 weeks (which as you all know is way too long) . I know AM is selling a double solenoid but it seems rather expensive ( $92 ). Does anyone out there know of a fast and reliable distributor of SMC solenoid valves (not the FESTO website) ?

Re: Where to buy solenoids?

look at automationdirect.com they had some. This is the same company that provided the air fittings for FIRST choice.

Re: Where to buy solenoids?

The folks at Mosier have always been dependable for me (in real life and in FIRST.)

If they can't get them through the giant new SMC distribution center here in Indy nobody can.

Re: Where to buy solenoids?

Thank you very much for the help. I found some valves I needed at pneuaire.com, but will look to those sights for a manifold!
