Encoder

Is there a way to take the measurements from an encoder and turn it into a rotation and make the motor move to a specfic point based on measurement. For example I hit button 1 on Joystick Two, it tells the encoder to move the motor to that set position. Before anyone says look at the example I have, several times trying to get what I need out of it and it doesn't help for what I'm trying to do.

Re: Encoder

Use PID (i learned how to do it from Wikipedia). LabView has its own PID VI so before you go all crazy with code use that. Process variable is your encoder and setpoint is where you want your encoder to go to.
