1629 GaCo would......

Like to ask the Chief Delphi and the FIRST community to come together and help out the Special Olympics.

Team 1629 GaCo Robotics have been joining forces for two years at the yearly Deep Creek Dunk. www.dunkmd.com

I am writing to ask for your help. On February 26, 2011, 10 Team 1629 team members have committed to grin and “bear” it for the athletes of Special Olympics Maryland by taking a chilly dunk into Deep Creek Lake alongside about 100s other warm-hearted people.

I know – you’re probably getting cold just thinking about it! But the cold that I will feel is temporary…the positive impact this will have on the lives of thousands of citizens with intellectual disabilities will last a lifetime.

Team 1629 has set a fundraising goal, and we need your help to reach it! So no, I’m not asking you to take the Dunk alongside, but instead, we are asking if you will make a donation to Special Olympics Maryland on behalf of Team 1629 taking the 2011 MSP/NRP Deep Creek Dunk. Any amount would be appreciated – it all goes to a wonderful cause, and every little bit gets Team 1629 that much closer to our goal.

If you want to learn more about this wacky winter event, visit www.dunkmd.com to find out all the chilly details. Think warm thoughts for us as February 26th approaches. We will do our best to stay cool and make our supporters proud!

Lets put the FIRST Stamp on the Special Olympics!!! Once you visit www.dunkmd.com, you can enter my name to sponsor a dunker (Josh Hinebaugh), and this will help Team 1629 reach their goal!!! There are two weeks left until the "Dunk" so let's see what we can make happen!!! The team that is currently in the top spot in fundraising is at 10k, we are way short of that mark currently, but we are working on it!!!!
