Re: pneumatics help please.
You might want to review this document. It has descriptions, diagrams and pictures of a typical system. Note that this document augments but does not replace the robot rules...

Re: pneumatics help please.
Thank you so much for the help, I soon realized my mistake yesterday that I had to have the pressure switch programmed.
Now I am trying to figure out how to wire up the SMC solenoid to the soleniod breakout on the cRio. I have the 2 pin wire but im not sure on how the wires from the SMC soleniod go. Does the black go to ground and the red to signal?? ![]() |

Re: pneumatics help please.
Yes.
Is your SMC a 12v or a 24v model? Make sure your solenoid breakout is powered by the correct matching voltage. |

Re: pneumatics help please.
you can have 24 volts off the breakout? I did not know that! I thought the only use of the 24 volt output of the PD was fro the Crio.

Re: pneumatics help please.
<R38> A. The cRIO-FRC power input must be connected to the 24 Vdc supply terminals on the PD Board. With the exception of one Solenoid Breakout Board, no other electrical load can be connected to these terminals.
