Team 1100 Progress

We decided to go with a 6 wheel drivetrain this year. We haven't done this at all in the past, the closest we did was a teeter drivetrain back in 08'.

So here it is:

We've been working on our arm/lifter idea. We decided to go with similar designs we did in the past with custom machined tooth plates and #25 chain running inside 80x20 The gripper pushes out and holds tubes from the inside.

Drive train looks SOLID! Is that 3/8" plate you're using for the outer plates?

by outer plates are you talking about the lexan that's holding the wheels on on the outside... then yes. We did this because the bumpers are going to stiffen the sides of the drivetrain.

Yeah the drivetrain is solid! it's a little heavy we're in at 40lb with all that super structure. we've got a 15lb arm and a 20 pound lifter so we're adding weight real fast.
