Go to Post I love first because of the late nights, the unparralleled stress, the excitement, the emotion. Because of the close defeats, the close victories. Because of the pride, the sense of accomplishment, the feeling of embettering the world. But most of all, because of you, the other teams. - Keith Chester [more]

1885 will keep you in our prayers. We lost a student earlier this season so we're in the same boat together.

Re: Please pray for FRC 3650

This is horrible, I feel so sorry for you guys. Mentors are some of the finest individuals that FIRST and the area of the team has to offer. I never knew him, but i can already tell that he was a very kind, generous man just because he was a FIRST mentor.

Condolences from 810 Mechanical Bulls.

After the loss of a mentor and a friend it is sometimes very hard to continue on in doing anything. I really hope your team continues to build and continues on. If you can not finish your robot, I would not worry, for I have faith in this FIRST community that what ever you put in your crate and ship your first regional, other teams will be more than willing to be there on Thursday and help your team out to finish that robot.

If there this anything that my team, 103, can do for you and your team, please please please do not hesitate to contact us! My email is cassie.beck103@gmail.com.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

3650 will be in 2783's thoughts and prayers. we know what it is like to have a head mentor die right before the end of build season. It's terrible. If you guys need anything, we will be able to help you.

Re: Please pray for FRC 3650

I'm very sorry for your loss. I honestly am shocked by this, and have no clue how to respond.

For anyone interested in more information regarding the incident I hunted this down. http://www.myfoxdc.com/dpp/news/mary...-county-021511 I wouldn't say discussion of any of the details is appropriate I just wanted to share with anyone who was interested.

Re: Please pray for FRC 3650

I don't really know what to say. I'm so sorry.

3650, I'll try to pull aside our president and PR leader aside to see how much we can help you now. We will be at the Chesapeake Regional, so feel free to stop by our pit for anything. In fact, I don't want to promise much and may not do much for you, but I can see if we can cobble together anything you need for your robot. Being a rookie in week six is incalculably difficult, without grieving at the loss of someone so willing to give their time, knowledge, and care to FIRST like a mentor.

You will be in my prayers, 3650 and the Hoefert Family.
