Compressor Problem

We are using the new compressor and it has been cutting out intermittentantly. Simultaneously the status light would go out. Yesterday we isolated the PWM going into the spike relay as loose and once in a tighter fit both the light and compressor worked. Today at initial startup the compressor and ligh worked for about 5 seconds and then nothing from either. We replaced PWM's for both the spike and the relief valve, tried a different compressor, tried sample compressor code, tried a new spike...

Has anyone else had this problem or do you have any suggestions. '

Thanks in advance,

Re: Compressor Problem

Are you using a fuse in the spike or are you using a breaker?

Re: Compressor Problem

Joey,
Are there any lights on the Spike? Try measuring the input voltage right at the Spike. It is possible you have a bad crimp or a wire has pulled out of the WAGO and you are not feeding the Spike.

Re: Compressor Problem

We had this problem last year and it turn out to be a watch dog error. Although this was a very special circumstance, if everything else comes back working fine, look at the code. If you are worried that it is the breaker, replace it with a fuse, FOR TESTING ONLY. If you are pulling too much current the fuse will just blow.

Re: Compressor Problem

Without a PWM cable, the Spike LED should always be on solid yellow if it's receiving 12v power from the Power Distribution Panel.

That tells you if it's powered properly.
