On Tuesday, February 22
I know that's the day our team 'bag & tag' our robot for the GTR on March 31- April 2. Our team has read an email about how we bag and tag it, but does someone from FIRST come and checks it off. I'm confused about this process.

Re: On Tuesday, February 22
Nobody from FIRST is going to come to check.
However, you do need someone that is not on the team to check it. People that would work: --principal of the school --member (mentor preferred) of another team --local businessman --Regional Director, if you can get him/her to do that At the events, the event volunteers will be your checks. |

Re: On Tuesday, February 22
What rule or procedure specifies this?

Re: On Tuesday, February 22
You do not need a non-team member to sign the form. The requirement is that the person who signs the lock-up form is over 18 and not a student member of the team.
Please refer to the "Attending a Bag and Tag Event" document posted with the manual. |

Re: On Tuesday, February 22
I think Eric is referring to last year's rules. I think it is still a good practice to ensure accountability but I think that FIRST recognizes that it can be difficult to get someone not affiliated with the Team to "sign off" on this.

Re: On Tuesday, February 22
...and 11:59pm on a Tuesday during vacation week, methinks I would have a hard time getting anyone BUT a mentor to sign it!
