estop button does not work

So we here have run into a very, very, dangerous problem... our estop button does not work! It says that it's connected, however, when we press it, the robot does not cease its forward moment! A very dangerous problem indeed...

Re: estop button does not work

Use the spacebar on the DS. It is actually a disable key instead of an e-stop, but close enough.

Since the e-stop doesn't work, I'd either fix the button (if possible), replace it, or cut the cord. You don't want faulty safety equipment around when there is a real situation.

If you need to run the robot without the e-stop plugged in, you can click to the Diagnostics tab and double click on the LED next to the button -- the one inside the tab. This will let you continue operating. Be sure to tape instructions about the spacebar on your driver controls so everyone knows how to shutdown the robot.
