Encoder Confusion

Hi all,

We are unaware of what the Get() method for the encoders return. We know it returns the current count on the QuadEncoder; however, we need to know if what this is returning is the number of rotations or something else.

Re: Encoder Confusion

I believe the "current count" is indeed how much pulses or rotations the encoder went through since it returns an integer according to the documentation.

Re: Encoder Confusion

Is rotations RPS or radians or degrees?

Re: Encoder Confusion

The encoders themselves I don't think can count a fraction of a revolution.

Re: Encoder Confusion

Do you know what specifically they are counting?
