Problem with KOP Photosensors

Is anyone else having trouble with their photosensors? Ours only want to work sometimes...

Re: Problem with KOP Photosensors

Nope. Ours detect the line rock solid.
What are you trying to detect, against what background? Do you know there is a sensitivity adjustment?

Re: Problem with KOP Photosensors

one of our three sensors seems to be a bit glitchy, it works for atmost 20min then randomly it detects nothing. the other two sensors work fine though. The "tuneing knob" if you will has no effect on it almost as if the sensors become frozen. only after an extended period of time does it work again. any suggestions?

The tuning knobs might have broken off on the inside from turning it past the stop point. If you take the plastic bit off, there's a normal-looking trim pot in there, which you can adjust with a small philips head.

Make sure everyone knows not to turn the working ones past the stops.

Re: Problem with KOP Photosensors

Is your battery voltage dropping below the 10.4 volts required for proper operation of the photosensor? See Team Update #5 for an approved way to avoid this problem.
