Lol, I think I might ask my grandparents for one too. If you do end up going there, we might be able to meet somewhere between Purdue and Rose-Hulman on our ITs....How long of a ride would that be from Rose (hopefully )?

*bows down to GodAnton* Leave it to Anton to state something that we all know in a way that is blunt and to the point. Only you Anton.
I think it would be cool to ride one but I don't think I'd want to own one.

ok...while i agree with anton about it being cool and laziness being good, im still disappointed. IT was built way WAY up only to be an...electric scooter? dont you all remember when we were convinced it was gonna be an internal combustion engine? its an electric scooter with a top speed of 12 mph. cities are gonna be built around them? they already make them! im pretty sure razors got one that goes 20+...

I agree. The hype was too much for the segway to live up to. Granted, it'd be awesome to have one to go around college with (kinda show it off to all my other engineer-friends) but I was still disappointed. The speculation and anticipation all built up just lead to naught. It's a cool invention, but everyone thought it would be so much more.

but that's just my thought

I really want one, but when the price comes down. I would like to rent one at the nationals and zip around Disney World with it!

Heh, me too. But the sad part is that if that happens, we'd have some problems. The first day of Nats would consist of those people riding around on IT, and other people waiting to ride IT. Leaving the reason for being at Nats to only a few dedicated individuals. I'll stop here because I think there is another thread about this somewhere...
