Re: pic: Team 2840's 2011 Robot

This is 2840's currently unnamed 2011 robot. It's a mecanum drive on an all-steel long chassis. The elevator is driven by a CIMulator-powered threaded rod, and the gripper/forearm is driven by two Denso motors. Final weight was 119.2 lbs.

This robot can reliably score autonomously on the top row, hang tubes at any height, pick up tubes from either the feed slot or the floor, and deploy the glorious minibot (not pictured) when the time is ripe!

Note the camera, for visual aid when the rack becomes filled with tubes and to help line up the minibot, and the damage-resistant linkage-actuated super-grippy gripper. Also, we plan on moving that giant wire bundle to a more protected location at the nearest opportunity.

I'll be more than happy to answer any questions.
