In the video, the piece is thrown at an angle which would have the holes entering the scoring zone perpendicular to the pegs. I would love to see a scoring video/hear more about how your gripper/scoring mechanism works!
Actually, our main strategy is to get the game pieces into the 'protected zone' as fast as possible so our alliance partners will have a lot of time to hang them on the pegs.

I hope to have the new video up soon of the improved wrist.

Haha, I can imagine the entire zone being carpeted in gamepices, after you throw three full sets over.

Awesome, makes sense. What's the trajectory like, will it be high enough during it's entire flight path to clear other robots? (Assuming that they aren't lifting or raising their arms? )

Re: 1875 Robot In Tights

They are the small version of anderson power poles (a larger version is used and provided for the battery).

Here's one source:

The pre-welded saves some time.

You can color code or even key them to avoid mistaken hookups. We used green-white on the motor side of our jaguars and victors so as not to blow them up accidentally.

I don't know the exact height, however we are hitting the ceiling in the outside canopy that is covering the field. I estimate the ceiling to be at least 10 feet in the air, probably more like 13 feet. Tubes are landing 25 feet away and then typically roll/bounce another 3 or 4 feet.
