2011 North Carolina Regional

My team is super excited for the North Carolina Regional this year and a return to "The House of the Rising Sun" AKA Dorton Arena!

This year the Regional will host....
16 Out-of-state teams including 9 from South Carolina
36 North Carolina teams including 17 Rookie Teams and 2 first year veterans

Also the NC State Team Social is on again this year!

It should be a great time!
(Just remember to pack your short-sleeved shirts and shorts. )

Prion is excited to see our friends again. Don't worry- there are at least 7 second-year teams who will be there. We'll see you there.

SPARK is looking forward to such a unique venue and meeting lots of new teams we haven't had the honor to play with yet. You can check out this years robot in Charleston next week at the Palmetto Regional. Can't wait!!!

Re: 2011 North Carolina Regional

All right lets get this thread back up and running. 2415 is excited to attend NCR once again this year. We hope we can continue the success we had at Peachtree as well.

I'll definitely miss seeing 1902, 1086, and 1519 as they were all awesome and great people to play with/against. See everyone on Thursday!!!!!

Re: 2011 North Carolina Regional

Hi, guys, we are a first year veteran team...I think because last year was our rookie year. We are team number 3346: the Kamikaze Komets.

Can't wait to see you all at competition. We will be leaving tomorrow in the morning. Raleigh is like an hour and a half away from us.

Good luck to all of you and I hope the out of state teams make it here peacefully as well.

I hope our robot got there safely this year because last year it got there in pieces, but this year we got it foamed up.

and like someone else said...be sure to wear short sleeved shirts and shorts...xD

It gets pretty hot in that arena.

Re: 2011 North Carolina Regional

1249 will not be in NC this year, we elected to attend the new Smoky Mountain Region last week. All i can say is watch out for Team 48, We played with them in both Pittsburgh and Knoxville and they are awsome. Great group of people. Good luck to all teams

Re: 2011 North Carolina Regional

Has anyone else noticed discrepancies in the North Carolina match list? The hard copy that we were given at the event says we are in the first match, but the one online doesn't have us playing until match 4.

Here's the link to the online match list: http://www2.usfirst.org/2011comp/eve...edulequal.html

I asked Pit admin and they said that they wouldnt have match lists for us until the morning, which would lead me to believe that the online one is right.

Regardless, we will find out tomorrow morning at 8 am.
