Animated ads obscure Search
The "search" dropdown box appears behind certain animated sponsor ads (AndyMark among them) and cannot be used. This only affects people who have not donated or are not logged in. (It also only affects people using a "supported" browser; Safari, for example, goes to a separate search page instead of using the dropdown.)

Also if they are animated .gif files, you can turn off animation. So I have three lines of defense: I'm a paid supporter, I have animated .gifs turned "off", and I have the noscript extension installed. |

Re: Animated ads obscure Search
The search dropdown works for me, including on top of the Vex, DraftSight, and 2goPC banner ads.
I'm running Firefox 3.6.14 on Ubuntu 10.10. |
