It actually looks to be a holonomic drive base with 8" omni wheels (AM trick wheels?) at 90 degrees (no big difference). It also looks the wheels on the extensions are omnis as well, especially because of their ability to translate in any direction with them deployed (plus the wheels themselves being able to lift off the ground). There are a lot of intricacies that seem to make it work well, as well some driving skill . Although it is going against another mecanum bot which probably can't push as well, so it'd be interesting to see how this fared against traction wheels.
