FIRST Pledge

Hey CD member!

In 2011 the FIRST community celebrates its 20th year anniversary. In celebration of this momentous occasion FRC Team 418, LASA Robotics, The Purple Haze, would like to make a pledge to the FIRST community.We will be asking teams at the Dallas Regional if they would like to make a pledge, or at least think about it, and we thought we'd invite the members of the Chief Delphi community, too.

Our pledge is:

We, the team members, mentors, and parents of Team 418 would like to pledge our dedication and commitment to the FIRST Community. We pledge to expand the ideals and goals of FIRST throughout our community through outreach activities such as robotics camps, lectures, and robot demonstrations as well as keeping our door open to all teams in need. We pledge to continue serving our community and FLL, FTC, and FRC teams, alike. We are committed to the expansion of STEM education and continue to advance our ways of educating our community. LASA Robotics would like to thank the FIRST community for its sheer dedication and enthusiasm throughout the years by taking this pledge.

We invite you to write a pledge and share it with the FIRST and Chief Delphi community as well.

This is a fantastic idea, guys!!!!!!
For volunteers, although we already are already dedicated to FIRST, I would suggest the following (It's the one I came up with for myself, based off of 418's, I hope that's okay!):

"As a volunteer of FIRST, whether with FLL, FTC or FRC, I would love to pledge my dedication and commitment to the FIRST Community. I pledge to help the ideals and goals of FIRST expand through any community I am a part of. I will do so by helping out with such activities as; robotic camps, lectures, robotic demonstrations, regionals, local events, and as well as keeping my door open to all teams in need. I pledge to continue serving my community, FLL, FTC and FRC teams, alike. I will always strive to be gracious and professional and help to instill such qualities in every FIRST member I come in contact with. I would like to thank the FIRST community for always being there for me as I will be for it."
