Go to Post Joe is a great sport and this was a good moral booster after a grueling weekend. How many opportunities do you get to play William Tell with a Regional WFA Winner? :) - The Lucas [more]

Re: Human player scores on the top row at regional

Yea. I had seen in the Alamo Regional someone doing that. He scored on the peg. It was a really lucky throw. I also agree that human players shouldn't be allowed to throw the tubes, but I can see how it is convieniant. It does lead to some negatives though like hitting robots, scoring, or tubes getting stuck on the minibot poles as someone had pointed out earlier in this thread.

Re: Human player scores on the top row at regional

Glad you all enjoyed the video. I was really fortunate to get it on camera, when I was watching the match I didn't even see it happen.

You'll notice that the HP in the foreground is not doing much better than the one who commits the blunder.

I agree that this should make certain teams reconsider their human player strategy. Not necessarily abandon it but take it very seriously.

Peace, love, robotics.

I was in the pit at the time and Mr.G showed us the video. We had some good laughs.

haha I was the human player in the foreground with the red shirt on. That was a pretty embarrassing throw with the white tube as shown in the video. It was my first match throwing the tubes so I improved since then. My alliance went with a mostly defensive strategy in the elims and we got pretty conservative with the tubes so it didn't matter at that point.

2826 did have an amazing human player though and that definitely helped feed their alliance's hunger for tubes and win the regional.

A 254 Human player accidentally rung the opposing minibot pole during semi-finals or finals. A red card was awarded in this one, which basically meant they lost the match. He was a lot more careful after that one...
