Is there a new link? The one in the first posting is still reporting the EMI flag for me in NH.

Works for me,

Nice idea! finally, a defensive robot that was made more original than just changing the drivetrain.

Mind sharing some of the design features? Your bot was surprisingly hard to push, and I noticed many other bots having difficulty too.

Re: Team 3528! The Wall-Robot

I cannot watch it either from VA.

Be careful with the use of the robot. Update 16 made it illegal to obstruct the flow of the game, resulting in a red card.

During the elims at Chesapeake, an alliance received a red card for having two robots effectively blocking the middle of the field.

Again, I cannot view the video so I do not know how you are using the described system. Good luck!

Re: Team 3528! The Wall-Robot

Video works for me.

I'd like to get some feedback from you about how you performed/issues faced/drawbacks of the design/advantages/mechanical issues/driver issues/penalties/cards. Did you keep the wings down the whole match? Did you pull them back up anytime during matches? Did you have any design influence from another team ?

Please give some honest feedback since I have been really curious to see a wall in action and the effect of one in a match.

We're excited to field our own blockade dubbed "Dragonfly" at the Philadelphia regional.

I get the same error on this video.

My guess would be that there is music in the video that EMI records would like to be paid for.

The audio/video quality is not the best, but the links on this page work. http://www.more.net/content/2011-fir...cation-matches

Team Update 16 does not rule out anything but the forcing a team to be red carded in eliminations by pushing them into the zone and making contact with a robot.

3528's robot is perfectly fine within the rules for defense too since the manual only prohibits an alliance stopping the flow of the game, a single robot is allowed to defend as normal.

Re: Team 3528! The Wall-Robot

We did get I think two red card's during out time playing because of another robot on our alliance coming close to us so we formed a barrier. It was an accident, and it happens.

Our robot is using 4 omni wheels set at a 45 degree angle and our two wings have two plaction wheels each on them, which mainly kept us from being pushed.

We had no outside influence on our robot and we never needed to raise the wings all the way up to a 90 degree angle again, we can raise and lower the wheels however in case we need to maneuver.

Sorry the video isn't working for everyone. The guy who made it didn't think to check on the rights of the song. We'll try and get it back up again and we'll let you know.
