Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

i went and saw harry potter on saturday. although my boyfriend hated it and thought it was boring...i loved it! i have read all of the books..some of them even twice. i think they do an awesome job of staying w/ the book..i can't wait for the next movie/book to come out!!!!

I havent seen either of the Harry Potter moves and I dont intend to, but the review from someone who has seen it (who's identity will be left secret for (his/her) safety):

"Its really boring!!! Man I almost fell asleep a dozen times. Although it was more interesting than the first one..."


ouch. If the 2nd one is boring, the first one must be awful...

i thouroughly enjoyed the ending, although i almost fell asleep somewhere around the end of hour one.

Please go into this more, for I know nothing that a "good character" in harry potter does to be considered a "bad thing". And if you say something like wizardry or witchcraft well... there's a lot of that in LOTR too.

Okay, I absolutely LOVE Harry Potter. I am so obsessed with watching the movie that I counted down the days from up to five months ago. I waited in line ahead of time and bought tickets for the first showing in my town. For Halloween, I was a Slytherin, so I wore my costume to the theatre. Every time Tom Felton (aka Draco) came on the screen, my friends and I would cheer and swoon over him. It was great fun. Can't wait until the next one... *sigh*

IMHO J.K. Rowling has a very well developed story telling style that effectively draws most readers into her books. I enjoyed them all very much.

I am looking foreward to seeing the second movie, but am waiting a couple of weeks. My kid brother is taking me on Thanksgiving Day to cheer me up and give me something to look forward to since my ex broke his promise to me and made sure I was uninvited to any family gathering within a thousand miles.

I think it might be fun to spend the holiday in a different way anyway. Thank heaven for little brothers.

I've read the books a million times over. I read them aloud when we go on family trips..that is until we got the tapes. The movie was pretty good. MY sister downloaded it before i saw it in the theater. I made my boyfriend come see it with me after that, he grumbled the entire time.

The tapes are soooo good! We have the tapes (that's what I've heard, I actually haven't read the books) and the guy reading them is excellent.

IIRC, he <edit>was nomited for</edit> a Grammy for his performance on The Sorcerer's (Philosopher's) Stone.

I've only listened to them on tape, but I loved them all.

saw the movie yesterday... With a Lightsaber! ^^; I thought it was pretty good, one of my friends saw it 4 times. The best thing to do is try to stare into the eyes of the Bassalisc.
