There are 12V and GND connections and pins for disable RC outputs and channel select enable.
If you read the manual for the OI, you will find the connections for all but the 12V connection, which is used by the Johnson "Yellow Dongle" for the "disabled" LED. Since it is inactive when the power supply is not used, the light doesn't work then. You can power the OI through this pin. Caution - pin 8 is the only pin that should be used for ground. Some printouts of the manual and the manual for the Dongle may say otherwise, but are in error. |
