I'm saving post 1519 for a special occasion! Or maybe just tomorrow!

EDIT: I remember hearing about the post your number game back when I had like 40 posts and never thought I'd hit 1000k...

Re: Smoky Mountain Regional 2011

EXCITED to be heading out in about 7-8 hours on my first trip for FIRST since 2005!!!

Teamless, although I'll probably be hanging out with the 71 people. My triumphant return, lol.

AND just confirmed hotel ressies for the championship last night, so 2 FIRST trips in one year!!

Re: Smoky Mountain Regional 2011

Some helpful links:
http://www2.usfirst.org/2011comp/eve...dulequal.html\
http://www.tnfirst.org/

Webcasts:
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/first-tn-2011
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/first-...tain-regionals

I have no idea why there appear to be two ustream webcast feeds... The first one there is already on-air though, just without any real footage yet (practice matches aren't scheduled until 10).

I'm not sure how that gets done, but it'd be great if the nasa site and mmrambotics could put that first webcast link up for SMR! :-)

It appears the second link isn't broadcasting yet. I'll get the first link to the mmrambotics dude.

EDIT: The link is up on mmrambotics.

I see the 1421 pit. Nice 'bot and nice team colors!

Will the camera move?

Oh, yeah! I see my own team's pit behind 1421 on the next row -- sponsor banner is prominent.

I just heard there was a crazy score posted of like 119 to 90. Any confirmation/information on this match?

Re: Smoky Mountain Regional 2011

Not such a crazy score if four good robots were on the field. There are some fast scorers in this field, and minibots are getting pretty good in Week 5. I expect to see very high scores in the semis and final.

Re: Smoky Mountain Regional 2011

I did get a text from some of my teammates that we (234) were in a match with 71 and posted 118-90 for the score in a practice match but unsure who the other bots were... I was told that our mini bot got third and 71's got second but do not quote me on this...

The post he quoted was Nathan Streeter's 103rd post. I was confused for a while too, until I noticed that.

Anyone have a match list they'd be willing to share online with us? Apparently FIRST is trolling and the match list isn't up on their website, yet.

A hard copy match list was handed out to all of the teams in attendance. I just finished taking photos of our copy. I'm sorry, but we had already marked up our copy by circling our matches.

Below are links to photos of the Smoky Mountain Regional Match Schedule for qualification matches:
