Missing bot's Ubertube

Looking at regional video, I've seen three different approaches for Ubertubes when a robot isn't on the field.

1) Tube place on or near where the bot would have been placed.
2) Tube placed touching the alliance wall
3) Tube removed from field.

Perhaps there are two situations at play, one where a Human Player shows up and one where no Human Player shows up...

It seems like this wasn't outlined in the rules, hence the various methods..?

All three of the above approaches are not in violation of

<G06> Each ROBOT must be in contact with one UBERTUBE. No more than one ROBOT may be contacting an UBERTUBE.

But it seems this should be spelled out-- this could be particularly important for those teams capable of scoring two ubertubes.

Not sure where I saw methods 2 and 3, but it was at either Smoky Mountain and/or Toronto. Method 1 was used at Duluth, I believe.
